Annotation

As a result of the transition to the industrial level of production, the poultry products become more qualitative and competitive both in the domestic and foreign markets. This is evidenced by the data of the Poultry Breeders Union of Ukraine.

The further development of poultry breeding is caused by feed costs; costs for protein and energy production are the smallest in comparison with other animal products. If you compare the efficiency of feed use, then one calorie of broiler meat needs 2 times less feed units than one calorie of milk, and three times less than beef and pork. The production of one gram of pure protein of eggs and poultry meat consumes eight times less feed units than beef, and three times less than pork. It should also be noted that meat poultry breeding requires 12 times less time to produce 1 ton of meat than in cattle, and 8 times less than in pig breeding.

The research was conducted on broiler chickens of the Cobb cross-500; the enzyme supplement Subalin was added to their main ration; the ratio was 0.03% by weight of the feed. The gross growth of live weight has increased by 37.6 kg (28.3%).

As gross growth has increased, the weight of dressed carcass was higher by 27.1 kg in the experimental group.

The weight of edible parts is higher by 459.1 g (P<0.01) in experimental group than in control one. The inedible part of the control group is smaller by 15.3% than experimental group. In the experimental group the ratio of edible parts to inedible ones has an advantage over the counterparts of the control of 0.36 units.

Keywords: poultry breeding, poultry, broiler chickens, productivity, feed additive, subalin, live weight, mixed fodder, full feeding, livestock, conservation, growing, genetic potential, slaughter quality, biological characteristics, food costs
