Annotation

It is established that the translation of newly calved cows in the main herd of cows with postnatal section of the maternity ward and the changing factors of the environment and the milking was a significant decrease of average daily milk yield by 3.0 kg, or 9.2% (P<0.05), fat content in milk – 0.2% (P<0.05), while in loose housing fresh cows in the maternity ward, a milking on the installation «Tree» and transfer them to the main herd without changing the method of keeping and milking, the average milk yield decreased by 1.5 kg, or 5.5%and milk fat – 0.03%.

As shown by studies, there were individual differences in the reaction of cows to replace the "stereotype" of the content and milking. So, the cow number 3156 in the first days of milking after the transfer from the maternity ward in the main herd slightly reduced daily milk yield – from 31.2 to 30.5 kg, while the cow 3262 – s of 41.0 26.5 kg, which indicates inadequate reaction of animals to sudden changes in content and milking.

In the same period, the translation of newly calved cows of the experimental group II of the maternity ward in the main herd was accompanied by a less significant decrease in milk production. So, the average daily milk yield of cows up to 30 days of stay in the section of new-calved cows was 29.4 kg, 1.6 kg, or 5.2% less compared to the previous period (20 days) of stay in the postnatal section. This is due to disruption of herd bonds, the adaptation of cows to the new situation and the establishment of hierarchical relationships between animals. In the following lactation after 60 days of stay in the section fresh cows average daily milk yield of the experimental animals were at the level of the previous period.

The method of keeping and milking of cows in the maternity ward had no significant influence on the level of milk fat of experimental animals. Thus, the average content of fat in milk daily milk yield of cows of I experimental group was 3.86%, and II is 3.80%. These indicators are characteristic of the milk of cows of the Ukrainian black-motley dairy breed.
