The production direction of the Shcherbich farm, the current state and prospects of cattle and pig production are investigated. The economy is multi-sectoral; in 2018, 83.4% of cash revenues were generated from the sale of crop products and 16.6% from livestock. In livestock breeding, respectively, sales of milk 52.5 and pork 38.0%. Revenues from the sale of milk increased by 11.3% and pork decreased by 11.5%.

In the reporting year, 98 heads were artificially inseminated, of which 25 (26%) were fertilized after their first insemination.

For the period of 2015-2018, calf output per 100 cows decreased from 100 to 71 heads                   (-29%) and increased the duration of the service period by 149 days. As a result, the amount of under-produced milk increased by 7.0% and beef by 0.7%.

Semen volume and germ cell concentration are within the limits of lim = 130.0-229.1, lim = 0.25-0.31 billion/ml, respectively. The largest volume of ejaculate has large white whales, and the smallest breeds of cantor, duroc and petrin occupy an intermediate position (P<0.5). There is no significant difference in sperm concentration.

In 2018, 10.6 piglets were received for the main sow compared to 2015, their number decreased from 21.7 to 10.6 heads (51.1%), with the number of farrows increasing from 1.0 to 1.6. 21.7 and 6.6 piglets, respectively, were obtained for farrowing. The results of the analysis indicate the sows infertility, the probable cause of infertility is the sows' age as a result of insufficient herd repair.

Keywords: production line, livestock production, farming, artificial insemination, semen quality indicators, herd structure, efficiency of artificial insemination, cow livestock, milk and pork production, infertility
