Annotation

Recently the problem of tuberculosis has become more and more urgent and continues to worsen. This problem is caused by the slow growth of the pathogen colonies in the commonly used nutrient medium. That’s why, bacteriological diagnosis of tuberculosis remains rather laborious. Besides the growth of colonies appears after a significant period of time (from 3 weeks to 3 months). Then the epizootic situation was also complicated by the polymorphism of the tuberculosis pathogens. The known nutrient media have begun to lose their diagnostic value.

Nowadays, many data on the variability of the pathogen and the availability of adaptive forms have been accumulated. However, these data have not been found to be practical because of the difficulty of cultivating and detecting modified forms. Bacteriological studies are extremely important in the system of detection of patients with tuberculosis because they are one of the main criteria for the diagnosis.

The article presents the results of a comparative study of the growth qualities of the developed nutrient medium with growth stimulator and the traditional Levenshtein-Jensenmedia. It was established that the growth rate of mycobacteria in the developed environment is 10-20 times higher compared with traditional media.

Keywords: Keywords: mycobacteria, nutrient medium, bacteriological diagnosis, cultivation
