The results of the studies of retrospective data on the repair heifers of the Bukovyna zonal type of the new generation meat-based Simmental breed of cattle regarding the analysis of the productivity of growing after weaning in the stall period with the maximum use of cultural pastures on the state experimental farm “Chernivetske” of Bukovyna State Agricultural Research Station of NAAS in the foothills of the Bukovyna region are presented.
As a result of the studies, the new recipes of diets for feeding heifers of the meat-based Simmental breed for the stall and summer keeping after weaning were adapted to the Bukovyna region. It ensures the maximum realization of their productive potential by 24.0%, while decreasing the energy feeds by 13.5% according to the rates and reducing the cost production by 8-12% with the profitability of 36.2%, which provides the developed intensive technology of raising animals as an economically promising one for the region.
The research has proved that for the intensive breeding of heifers of the new generation meat-based Simmental breed of cattle after weaning with the use of the developed experimental drug in the diets for 65 days of the main period of the experiment, the average daily gains of animals of the I experimental group were 830.8 g, which is by 67.7 g (9.1%) at (P <0.001) more than those in the control group who did not take this drug and where the concentration of exchange energy was 8.7 mJ per 1 kg of dry matter.
