PRE-DIPPING AND POST-DIPPING – EFFECTIVE METHODS FOR THE PREVENTITION OF DAIRY COWS MASTITIS

DOI: XX.XXXXX/XXXXXXXXXXXXX
PDF Повернутись

Mastitis – one of the most costly diseases of cattle; 70% of cows are infected by mastitis pathogens during milking. The method for treating nipples before and after milking is developed with order to ensure a high level of hygiene in the technological process of milking. The results of the conducted studies indicate that the proposed method meets the requirements of modern milk production, does not cause irritation of the udder, is easy to apply, environmentally friendly, highly effective and economically advantageous and suitable for obtaining milk of high sanitary quality.

The market is represented by means with different active substances and concentrations on the basis of iodine, chlorhexidine, organic acids (lactic, sucrose, etc.). The choice of a means for disinfection of doses after milking should be done depending on the circulation of pathogens in the herd. It should be noted that iodine preservatives of a wide range of effects affect not only bacteria, fungi, yeast, but also most viruses. It is believed that prolonged use does not lead to the formation of resistant strains of microorganisms. The main benefits of chlorhexidine-based preservatives include a milder effect on the skin of dyes and the absence of a specific odor characteristic of iodine disinfectants. Disadvantages are a slower performance than iodine disinfectants, low efficiency in fungi, viruses, bacterial spores. In addition, with time, the bacteria become resistant to it.

The introduction of the «Protocol for milking» is a prerequisite for the prevention of dairy cows mastitis, the first and fifth point of which are pre-dipping (overpreservation) and post-dipping (preservation) of udder.

The main task of drugs in the treatment of udder - tread function, which consists in the formation of a bactericidal film on the surface of the nipples to close their channels from the ingestion of microbes and pathogenic microorganisms; an important factor in preventing mastitis and improving the quality of milk.

Pre-dipping and post-dipping in the milking hall Global 90i is expected to reduce the appearance of mastitis in the dairy herd by 35-45%. For prepping, apply Kenopur strong by dropping in glasses with a dermal nipple preparation for 20-30 sec. followed by wiping with disposable napkins with a solution of the drug (5ml/1l.) on the principle: one napkin – for one cow.

Post-dipping involves chlorhexidine preparations Senso Dip 50 and Kenocidin 100 with interchangeability after 3 months. The application of the proposed developments in the farm will ensure the extraction of milk of the extra class and the higher grade for the new DSTU 3662: 2018.
