Annotation
The influence of the complex preparation “Devivit-Selenium” on young cattle of a new
population of the meat-based polled Simmental breed during the winter suckling period is studied
in the scientific and economic experiment. The energy of growth increases by 25%, which is the
most relevant for the foothills of Bukovyna Carpathian region.
It has been established that the use of the experimental complex preparation of mineral
action enhances the work of the hematopoietic system of young ruminants, provides a stimulating
effect on the level of protein metabolism, and thus contributes to a more complete assimilation of
nutrients of the diet.
It was proved that during the whole period of experiment, the daily gains of the
experimental group heifers were 800.3 g, which was by 150.1 g or 23.1% (P<0.001) more than
those of the control. The daily gains of the experimental group bull-calves during this period
exceeded those of the control by 310.0 g or 53.4% (P<0.001).
Keywords: bull-calves, heifers, diet, complex preparation, live weight, daily gains
