HIGH-YIELDING COWS METABOLISM DISORDERS AND A BIOLOGICAL WAY TO PREVENT KETOSIS
Ovsiienko S.M, Сandidate of Аgricultural Science, Associate Professor
Vinnytsia National Agrarian University
The article gives a theoretical basis for the causes of metabolic disorders in the body of high-yielding cows. It is noted that there are about 35% of the high-yield dairy cows at different farms with obesity during this period. Thus, it will lead to complex metabolic disorders throughout the body.
It is pointed out that Carduusmarianus L., a species of the genus Carduus L. It is one of the most popular plant hepatoprotectors considered to be thistle spotted and phylogenetically close to it. It is shown that their use for feeding, taking into account the prophylactic and therapeutic properties of thistle spotted and spiny plumeless thistle can prevent the development of ketosis.
The results of studies of the effect of feed additives with plant components, i.e. hay flour from thistle spotted and spiny plumeless in granular, saponite flour and molasses are presented, too. It is shown that feed additives which are made of monocomponents for feeding high-yielding cows provide a reduction of the content of ketone bodies by 34.7-33.3%, respectivelyin the organism, and inclusion in the composition of saponite flour and sugar beets molasses by 43.3-44.6%, at the level of ketone bodies in the blood of cows at 7 and 21 days after calving within 0.95-0.78 mmol/l, which is within acceptable physiological values.
